David Sandler is the Chief Operating Officer at ProSupps Holdings, and former Director of R&D for Metabolic Nutrition and iSatori and Chief Operating Officer of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is the President and Owner of StrengthPro Inc. He has authored or co-authored numerous books and coaching videos. Sandler’s background also includes work as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University for several years and was a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Miami and as a consultant working with some of the world’s best athletes.
He has lectured Internationally, Nationally and Regionally at more than 400 venues. In addition, Sandler has published more than 20 scientific articles and abstracts and more than 500 articles in nutrition and supplementation, power, strength and fitness training for various magazines and literature. Hank Schultz is the Senior Correspondent for NutraIngredients-USA and FoodNavigator-USA. He has experience in the dietary supplements and food business and also in the daily newspaper industry, where he was an editor with the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, Colorado.

Hartley grew up in New England, and once out of college moved to the Rocky Mountains and began a decade of working in ski towns pursuing a life-long passion for biking and skiing. He settled in California and taught English at Mendocino College, and during the summers found himself working for the California Department of Agriculture. He did not know it at the time, but this began a career and a life in agriculture and nutrition. He has worked with VDF/FutureCeuticals for 18 years and describes it to friends and colleagues as “going to school every day,” as we constantly generate new science and products, and create exciting opportunities for our partners. He lives in Sebastopol, California with his wife, Anne, and daughters Katherine and Emma.

Jose Antonio, PhD FISSN FNSCA CSCS is the CEO and co-founder of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
He gives an occasional talk, writes a bit, and can read your mind (but only after consuming copious quantities of coffee).
Dr. Antonio is an Associate Professor of Exercise and Sports Science at Nova Southeastern University in beautiful South Florida.
When he’s not doing research, teaching or otherwise acting academic, you’ll find him at the beach paddling his merry way.

Dr. Shawn Arent is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Health at Rutgers University. He is also the Director of the Rutgers Center for Health & Human Performance and Director of the Graduate Program in Kinesiology & Applied Physiology. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as well as the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
He currently the vice president of the ISSN. His research focuses on the relationship between physical activity and stress and the implications for health and performance, with an emphasis on underlying biological and behavioral mechanisms. His recent work has focused on physiological responses to training-related stressors and their contribution to optimal performance and recovery. He is a senior associate editor for the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology, and the Translational Journal of ACSM. Dr. Arent also provides performance enhancement advice for youth, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes in a number of sports, including soccer, hockey, football, wrestling, baseball, softball, gymnastics, rowing, and cycling. He is currently the sport science coordinator for the Texas Rangers (MLB), is on the national staff for the US Soccer Federation, has been the head exercise physiologist for the NJ Devils (NHL), and works closely with a number of teams at Rutgers University.View more

He has a PhD in chemistry from the Queen’s University of Belfast and held post-doctoral research positions at the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) and the University of Montpellier (France).
He has been writing about nutrition science and food science for over 10 years. After seven years in WR’s French offices, Stephen spent one year in WR’s New York office before moving to Chicago in 2013.

Dr. Susan Hewlings is co-founder of Substantiation Sciences, professor at Central Michigan University and Chief Science Director for IgY Nutrition. She specializes in substantiation from study design to publication. She has over 15 years experience in the industry and has published in multiple peer reviewed journals, text books and trade publications. She received her PhD in nutrition, her BS in nutrition and her MS in exercise physiology, from Florida State University. She is a Registered Dietitian, medical writer and a nutrition consultant. She was formerly an assistant professor at The University of Central Florida College of Medicine and an assistant professor Tenured at Stetson University. Susan completed a fellowship studying protein and fat metabolism at The University of Texas Medical Branch.
